50 million personal genome sequences by 2015?

Jason Bobe makes an estimate that there will be 50 million personal genome sequences by 2015. What do u think?

    Does that mean that holder of patents to certain genes being sequenced will go after royalties form all the companies providing the pDNA services

    i dun think the patents cover being sequenced.. typically its the applications like the gene product being useful for medical applications or stuff like that which you can make money off in a novel way.
    you can’t patent something that’s natural or already present.
